I'm getting the
Invalid Boot.ini booting from c:\windows\
But I just installed Windows 7
My disc offers no Repair console and there's no
boot.ini on the drive (yes I've unhidden files)
What is the correct format for a boot.ini
in Windows 7
Thanx

Well just like Vista you can edit the boot config using "bcdedit.exe" in the c:\window\system folder. However I'm booting from a 32bit XP on my computer and it won't let me open the 64bit file. duh.
need to edit the file directly but .....?

What is it exactly you are trying to do?
There is no "Boot ini." in Win7, it's now a "Boot Manager"
I have both 32bit and 64bit versions if Win7 from MS on DVD and both have the "Repair Console"
