I have files like that in "My documents" folder - a dozen of them. When I try to delete them they reduplicate themselves?????????????

What have I done? or do I have a virus.

When I try to delete I get a message: "Cannot delete "Copy of Copy of copy of correspondence" It is being used by another person or program.
Close any programs that might be using the file and try again. "

There ain't nobody but me here, and all other programs are closed.

Suggestions, please!

Ill presume this problem is fixed, but for future reference.....

Have you tried booting into safe mode and deleting the files from there.

Reboot, press f8, select, safemode. go in and wipe em.
