We look after a lot of windows 2003 servers running Oracle 10.2.0.4.
What I'm trying to do is remove the older info from log files. For example oracle writes an alert log of everything that happens on the database, I want to remove the older stuff whilst it's still running . So I only have up-to-date log information for the last couple of days. The log files can get very large and controlling their size is time consuming and awkward.

I want to put it in a batch file. And run it from 'scheduled tasks'.

Anyone got any ideas ?
