Hi everyone!

My boss received a weird email from her friend using Outlook Express 6. On the preview of OE6 you can read the message but when you double click the message to open it, the message got garbled and it is like converted to HTML codes. After that the email got garbled, also the inbox preview got affected and it was unreadable too. So her problem is, she can't forward the message to her other friends because it was garbled or encrypted into HTML.

For me, I think the OE6 can't identify some of the fonts, links etc. of the yahoo or other webmail. Or is it something to do with our webmail? What do you think?

Hi guys,

Since no one is taking up this issue. Just let me solve my own problem. Hehe. I notice that when my Anti Virus is out of date. I don't receive any garbled email or experience weird things like "In OE6 preview window the email is fine but when I open it, it became garbled email".

I also discovered that the garbled email that I received is basically the message source of the Outlook Express 6.
- Open the email message
- Click File Menu
- Properties
- Click the Details Tab
- Click Message source

Until I update my Eset Nod32 4, so what I did was I uncheck the email scanning of my OE6. But I really don't disabling my Anti Virus to the OE6.

I just Go to Eset Nod 32
- Setup
- Enter Entire Advanced Set up tree..
- Look email clients under Email client protection
- then uncheck all the check box except for the last two (Repeat scan after update and Accept scan results from the other module)
- And you're done.

But since I don't receive any garbled email right now. I just want to be sure that I can read or reply to the email if this problem will happen again.

I will Leave a messages from the server
- Go to OE6
- From the tools menu click "Accounts"
- Select the Advanced Tab
- Look for Leave a copy of messages on server.
And enter the number of days you want. (the most number of days you want to put the greater possibility of mailbox to be full)
- Click Ok.
