I have windows xp installed and worked perfectly on my computer, then suddenly when i started it, it takes me to a screen which says "boot windows normally, safe mode, safe mode with networking..." and no matter which one i choose, it'll begin to start then take me back to that screen.

Next, i have a brand new 120 gb hd and when i tried to install xp on it, it says its not a windows compatible partition. ???? what does that mean and how do i make it compatible?
