NOTE: This MAY be a hardware issue, but I havent had the problem with ANY other dvd, so im not sure.

So, I was watching a DVD that I had copied as a backup, when all of the sudden, it started freezing for a few seconds. It would then play, freeze, play freeze for varying amounts of time. I noticed that the DVD-read light, and the HDD light would flash in unicin. I assumed that it was reading, then writing to the HDD then playing it on my screen. I check in Device Manager, and DMA is enabled, but I remember someone saying that if Windows finds an error, it will disable WMA. This might make sense because I restarted, and the scene that was skipping was playing fine, but later, in another scene, it started to freak out again. I tried defraging my drive, and the disk is very new, so no scratches.

Then I decided to try the scene that was skipping on my TV dvd player, and it worked OK. So I assume this is a Windows DMA setting or somthing similar.

The DVD drive plays other DVDs fine.
