Hey guys I hope you can give me a little bit of help with this one because I'm miffed.

Ive been trying to reformat windows xp pro. I put the disk in my dvd drive, set boot from CD first priority in my BIOS, restart, then watch as it hangs on the screen with "Boot from CD" down the bottom. It promptly forgets what it was trying to do and loads into windows normaly.

Is there anything I can do to get it into the reformatting screen? Im really frustrated at the moment so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try putting it in your cd drive. Make sure the disk you are using is the winxp
operating system disk.

Also, are you sure that the CD you're using is bootable?
