I'm a model and I wanted to take my photos from my cd to my computer but once I got home I wasn't able to view my pics on my computer. My brother put the cd in the DVD player and a slide show began of all of my pics. What do I need to do?

I find sometimes Windows XP does not recognise the fact I put a CD in, so when I open CD drive in My Computer it dosnt display the CD contents only options to write a CD.
I restart the computer and that usually works fine...
