Hello all!
About a week ago I noticed that even though I'm connected to the Internet, I'm not able to open most websites (only my email, yahoo). There are two other computers in my house that are able to connect to the Internet and open webpages (from wifi), except for mine (I've tried wireless and via a wire.) I tried several methods I've found online but nothing seems to work. I feel like it might relate to the proxy settings which would only allow certain webpages to open. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance!

What proxy? Most folk don't use a proxy.

Also, Norton is known to block the web when it expires. Maybe other AV suites have copied Norton's lead.

Configure your web browser to NOT use a proxy. For your home network, it is not only unnecessary, but will block you as you have found. Proxy's are only suitable for corporate networks, not home ones.
