cantakerous machine

Hi All,
Im Mummabear, Carol to my friends.
Dont know if ive done this right:mrgreen: but here goes.
Can anyone help...since reformatting my pc my system is doing a strange thing.
When I click on my local ddrives c,d or e,the windows search box comes up instead of the contents of that drive. I can access by right click and open but it is just so annoying.
Can anyone help with the solution,please please:)

Have you run any virus scans recently?

If not, run several scans:

CCleaner
Ewido
Panda Activescan Online

All are free, and Ewido & CCleaner need to be installed.

Thanks...yes i have run a few virus scans......it is not a virus but something in the settings i clicked accidentally and ive no idea what it was...my daughter did the same thing while trying to help me on her pc lol

Click the "Start" button, click "Run" and type the word:-
REGEDIT
and make your way to these two places:-

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell

and double-click the (Default) in the right hand side and type the word:-
none
