I have a problem ( intermittant boot failure ) and looked in the event viewer which was quite useless to me as there are only numbers. Errors were DCOM 10005 and Service Control Manager 7001. I have spent hours fruitlessly searching through Google the Microsoft aticles were as obscure as ever and provided no answers. Is it too difficult to say Error 7001 means that a named device failed or whatever?
