Okay, i just reinstalled my PC so i used misrosoft update to install all the SPs and updates. My system is now fully patched apart from one thing. There is no IE7!!!
IE7 isnt listed as an update????

Otherwise it strikes me that you may need to dig back into your old freebie disks and hoik out a copy of IE or FireFox to get you out of the trap.

And isn't IE6 on your original Windows disk so you can repair it back in? Then upgrade via download to IE7?

I had IE6 yeah. I managed to sort the problem (i think) by manually downloading IE7
