Hi All,

I've got a problem with an IBM THinkpad T21.
This machine previously had W2K installed.

I intalled XP Pro [wiped partition] and when it was at the "35" minutes left stage it hangs...

I've tried a different HDD, no change. I then tried to install W2K and it still hangs. I went back and tried XP again but no joy... :(

Downloaded the BIOS update from IBM and booted to floppy to update.

Tried again - hangs.

Ran bootable CD and ran MOBO tests - fine, Memory tests - fine.

I feel it's some device that is gone faulty.

To isolate this I've began looking at the XP logs for install - however, I don't understand them - can anyone help??

Thanks,
BMWcare

sounds like to me since you tried it on another pc that your cd is bad or needs cleaning. if its all scratched up it definately needs replacing.some times another thing will make it not load correctly is missing files & bad grafhics desktop & so on. good luck!!
