Hi, I'm really struggling. I have an immerge soundserver and in order to change stuff on it I need to connect to my pc. I have downloaded the appropriate software (xiava producer) and it tells me to connect an ethernet cable to my computer and to the sound server. When I plug the etnernet cable into the sounserver I get an error message saying local cable unplugged. Which it isnt. When I try to connect with the necessary tab on the soundserver screen it tells me to check connection. In another box it asks me for the IP address. I think ive found the static address and tried it but when I ping it, its not recognised. Its driving me insane..... can someone please help. cheers:'(

The standard e cable WON'T work from one machine to another, using that cable type assumes access to a network hub. Try a crossover cable instead.
