I was hoping someone could help try and solve this problem. I travel and like to bring my PS3 with me but I cannot play online when I travel. Maybe someone can give me some sort of guide to connect my PS3 to my laptop. The laptop is a Dell and it has one Ethernet port and I have an Ethernet cable. I have tried simply connecting the cable to the PS3 and the laptop and then tried to get the PS3 to recognize the the laptop's Internet connection (I use a verizon broadband wireless card) but it failed. Hopefully someone who has solved this or someone who is extremely tech savy can help me. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Basically you are trying to run your ps3 off your laptops internet connection?

this cannot work because your laptop is not configured to be a router. i do not know of a straight up answer to turn a laptop into a router for you
