Thanks to PG&E my router's bios is fried. I have a power light and blinking lights, but cannot see the router to flash it. I've set up a machine with a static IP address and connected it to port #1 on the router - nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? No help from Linksys as it's no longer in warranty. I think they want you to just buy a new one.

Try doing a factory reset first.
To do this, get a small pen, look for the reset button ( depending on the model can be on the front or back ), typically a small hole. Press and HOLD that button in for about 10 seconds, then release. Try to get a connection again. If unable to connect, then yes, looks like it may be toast.
