Hello,

The topology depends on where are you going to use the computers.
If the buildings are in one room or in the whole building. Also if the computer should have any security policies. There is a lot written about it on net. But prior doing any setup you should consider all the requirements for the setup.

You don't need to set it up manually. There are router out of the market that automatically configure the LAN settings. just check it out.
