I have a network with a wired router for 2 Windows XP computers which currently share an HP Photosmart 7350 printer with no problems. I recently added a WAP for my new laptop. How do I make the laptop capable of accessing the same printer?

Depends on the type of laptop. Have you used whatever software the OS provides to add the network printer? More information about your setup will help us give better answers.
