I have a home network with one desktop and two laptops connected to it. The router is a Linksys and is probably at least three years old.

My ability to connect to the Internet has been sporadic, as well as my ability to retrieve e-mail. I've had to reboot pretty often in order to renew the connection.

I suspect that the router is the problem. In fact, a Windows message on one laptop indicated that it is. How can I determine this myself, and how do I trouble-shoot a router? Is it time to buy a new one? :?:

If you are not losing network connectivity but you are losing Internet connectivity, then it is the modem at fault. Not the router.
