A fake signature is when you add your name / link to your website manually at the bottom of your post instead of have it automatically added via your member profile.

In Lerner's example, you can see that the IF code is wrapped in brackets but he didn't do the same for the ELSE code. That's because when there is only one line, brackets are implied and therefore not needed. (Although I would recommend them, especially when starting out.)

I use Zend PHP Studio. I also have Adobe CS 3 but I like Zend better than Dreamweaver. Unfortunately, it has a Java-like feel and can get unresponsive at times on Vista. Works perfectly on my mac.

The concept behind CSS is that you're separating the content from the design. The search engines only crawl the content.

You've posted this in the ASP.NET forum so I assume it's a .NET based application? If so, do you have a web server installed locally? I'm not familiar with Visual Studio but I assume it would come with something?

I'll let everyone know after we get a bunch of votes in. I voted 31 - 40 but that is based on statistics from a year and a half ago. I haven't looked into this year yet.

VB.NET should come with some sample code, no? The microsoft.com website is very useful for stuff of the sort, as well. (Since .NET is proprietary to microsoft, they want to do all they can to influence programmers to use their language). Also try here: http://www.windowsforms.com/ I found this site in …

You will need to create a 301 redirect. This can be done in an .htaccess file on the old server.

It depends how much SEO effort you put into the keyword "green apples". DaniWeb can rank #1 for "green apples" if I splatter that phrase all over the site and in the anchor text of links pointing here. "DaniWeb" doesn't exactly have the words "IT Discussion Community" in the domain …
