Definitely check your computer for spyware or virus infection. Have you defragged your drive lately? You might want to delete temp files, do a chkdsk and disk defrag.

128 MB of memory isn't a lot these days. If you want to see a performance boost, upgrade to at least 512 MB. Like everyone said; disk cleanup and defrag will help speed up your computer's performance. Check out this tip from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/AtWork/getstarted/speed.mspx/

Have you updated the wireless usb driver yet? If you haven't, you should. Also, try to move it to another USB port. Have you defragged your drive lately. It wouldn't be a bad idea to do a disk cleanup, chkdsk, & defrag. Here's a link from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/AtWork/getstarted/speed.mspx/

Download a third party defrag software and your defrag will run a lot faster and can be scheduled to run in the background. Third party defrag software will do a lot better job than the built-in defrag. You can also defrag the master file table and page file before windows …

I defrag my home computer on a daily basis using a third party defrag software. My servers are done every month or whenever I can remember it. I know I should do the servers more often but I'm too busy doing other things.

I have a 110GB drive with 90GB free space and it took the built-in defrag program about 4 hours to complete. I purchased a third party program and it's been running on a daily basis for about 15 minutes. The more you do defrags, the shorter it takes to complete. …

You might want to check your computer for virus/trojans and spywares. Some trojans are in temp folders so you might want to delete those too. Do a disk cleanup and defrag too.

A lot of web site developers set their default resolution to 1024x768. I've just learned to adjust to them by setting mine the same.

I bet you that spyware and those downloads left your PC fragmented. You should run a disk cleanup and defrag on your hard drive.
