Use another laptop and access the internet via the ethernet cable. This is to make sure the problem is not with your network but your laptop. Have you try reseting your router. At the back of it there is a reset button. Take a pen and hold down the button for 5 seconds.

2) How near are you to the modem and router when you find out you cannot access the internet?
3) Reset the modem and router and tell us what happen.
4) Make sure no security softwares are blocking the conenction, some anti virus have a built in feature that allow you to block internet access and internet connection. Made sure all these are turn off and disable your firewall again.
5) Does this problem happen all the time or only some time. And when it happen some time can you take note the day and time it happen. Sometimes when it is during the weekend many people are accessing the internet webpages and the internet may be a bit slow thus causing this problem.

The first website is incorrect. I access the website and although it show the right country i am in. It show the wrong location. The IP address is also wrong i double check with my IP tracker application and prove that the website is wrong, so i think you should trust the second website.

Are you having problem, like when you download a file from the internet or anywhere. And when you click on the file, they show you random numbers and letter you cannot understand. Then at the top it said cannot open in DOS mode. If that is the case, that is very common. I have also the same kind as problem with you and have try various methods but it did not work.

1) Make sure the file is zip file or other format but not exe. exe files are for windows and cannot open using mac. So when you open exe. files on mac, the file will show you a lot of random stuff like numbers and letters you cannot understand.
2) Try opening other zip files download from the internet and see whether you can open and view them without any problems if yes then the file you download that say cannot view in dos mode has a problem. It would be best to delete them.
3) Do a virus scan and check whether any files are corrupted. Use iantivurs. It is good and free. Download it and do a full scan.

Post back what you have seen when you follow my instructions. Basically there are no DOS mode on mac, so your problem is weird. Almost every mac users have the same problem around the world so you do not need to worry. And it won't harm your macbook at all also.

What you did is correct something is wrong with your preview app. Preview is use to open jpeg files and others, so maybe when you are trying to open a file with preview the file may be corrupted thus damaging the preview app.

1) Do a virus scan. Try using iantivirus download from the internet and do a full scan ( Iantivirus have many types, use the free version and do a full scan.)
2) Second, instead of clicking preview, try to right click it. You will see two options, click on open and see whether it works.
3) Go to any jpeg file and try opening them with preview again. This time when you go to the file, right click them. Click on open with and select preview.

You can also use preview to open any other pdf files, try opening pdf files then.

What computer are you using and what OS you are using. Try to reset your modem and router. If you use linksy, you can go to the back of the modem. You will see a reset button use a pen and poke the button. Hold it down for 5 seconds and your modem will be reset. Next go to the linksy website at http://192.168.1.1/ . This is only for linsy users. When you go to go and configure the settings as when you reset the modem or settings will be reset to default. Configure your network with a password. Or you can reset your modem by plugging in and out of the power socket again.

1) Like when is it slow ( A particular day/days )
2) How many people are using the internet when it became very slow.
3) Try using other network and connect to internet, see whether using other network will be slow.
4) Problems maybe a network issue or your laptop/pc problem.
5) Check whether other people using your network is having the same problem.
6) Do a virus scan to make sure no virus is on your laptop.
7) Switch your location to somewhere near the modem and see whether the connection is better.

You can reset your password but reformatting your whole macbook or unless you have a master password. If you had a master password you can click on forget login password and reset it. Another admin account can also help you reset it. Capperjack, are you talking about mac login password or others? So to track whether the hacker keylogger. LOl. Just for safety precautions, in case when a hackers strikes he will fall into your trap. Your keylogger will detect him and see what he types. An IP trakcer would also be good if you want one. Not really neccessary, IP Tracker track the IP address of your hacker. So you know where he stay and can knock on his house doors. You stated there might be posibility a hacker could have keylog your data, could be true could be false. First why would the hacker want to do that and what is his motive, second if you have awesome anti virus they can detect keylogger and you can trace whether the keylogger belong to you. If not it belong the the hacker and the hacker might have taken your data. better safe than sorry, turn on your firewall and block other un-identified conenction so hacker cannot enter your laptop

Choose only one to use. Either Macfuse or TrueCrypt. Choose the one you one and delete the other one. I use before true crypt but after sometimes i change to mac fuse. Go to system preference and click on mac fuse at the bottom. Tell me what you see. A screenshot will be better
