Common problem, i experience it all the time but it can be solved. Are you using the older version of mac if yes go software update and install the new updated version. Are you able to connect to the internet with a ethernet cable. First go to network utility. Go to spotlight and search for it. Type network utility. In my next post i will show you the picture. Post me what you see. Next go to system preference and click on network. The next few steps you must be an administrator to do it. Click on assist me and click on diagnositcs. The network diagonistics will appear. All the button on the left should be green in colour, post what you see. Follow the onscreen instruction in the network diagonsitcs. See my next post

You can try sonic wall. it is a very good firewall that can also blocks sites that you have listed and you can send mail with the login information everytime. There is also other way but first all the computer must be on the same network. You can also install monitoring device such as remote management or team viewer and blcok some websites. Parental control can also blcok website and you can still send mail but it must be installed on every computer

Ok since you have stated i will help you with it. There are many ways

1) Is to disable remote management by turning it off
2) On your firewall and change the settings to block all incoming connections, this will block remote management from access to your laptop
3) You can go to and delete remote management system ( will cause you conputer to freeze often )
4) CAn change remote management settings. Go to system preference, select sharing. Scroll down and click on remote management then change the settings.

You state that there is no internet connection. What do you mean, which computer can't access internet or both. You mean you keep reseting the modem and router. Have you tried using an ethernet cable to connect to your computer. And when you use a cable can you access your internet. Please be more specific about your problem

What computer are you using now? Raw sockets are needed as to send or receive networks packets by your apps. It is needed and important in networking. For root user, for some case raw sockets does not need a root permission by most of the case it need. Root permission is more secure as to prevent from sending fake packet and data. with that it will be more safer. About affecting the tcp header, i have forgotten about it. When i remembered i will tell you. Good luck

well, i am one of the few kind souls that has nothing better to do than to start a new thread like this. recently in the forum networking, i have come across many poster who can't connect to the internet becaise of firewall blocking the connection. Not all case are related to firewall. I just want to raise awareness that firewall setting may have blocked connection like wireless, bluetooth or file sharing. Some may consider to disable their firewall so that they can connect to the internet while doing this can solved your problem, firewall is also an important tool that can help minimise the risk of having malware or virus in your computer, it can help to reduce email spamming. Most computer have firewall preinstalled on it while in rare cases it don't hav. You may want to go and download it for free on the internet. Firewall have different settings, some setting blocked all connection including wireless and bluetooth while some settings only blocked a few stuff maybe malware and email spamming so that allows you to connect to internet. Choose the right settings, choose settings that allow you to connect to internet and also at the same time prevent malware from happening to often. Just a more clearer detail, Just go advanced editor, and click in the paper clip. There will be a new tab and you just choose the file you want to upload after scroll down and click on upload. About the picture JamieLynnSEO posted, it is damn funny. Do you know what a bummer means, it means disappointing or annoying and sure it is.

To use root user you must first have an administrator account. The root user does not show in the account preferences ( found in system preference ) . Admin can be a root user. Root user password is very hard to crack which contains mumbers and letter. Root user can modify and delete and files, they can access other user files. Root users is already default on your mac osx platform. To activiate root user go to account preference. click on the lock and type the password and username. Click login options, click the edit button and select directory utility. Type in the admin details.Go edit and select root user, Choose a password you want for your root user and select done/ok.

1) What are doing when it freezes?
2) What application/s do you have open?
3 ) How old your Mac?
4) What version are you running?
5 ) How much RAM does it have?
6 )How big is the harddrive, and how much space is left?

This are some questions that some people used to identified my problem, i hope it will works for you too.
