i have a confusion. i want to know that does really give any weight to heading tags in page optimization.
i have analyzed a bit and check all websites that have high rank in and believe to me hardly any of them giving proper h1 and h2 tags
what is your experience in this case.
H-Tags are still important in most SEO Practitioner... Putting your valuable links & Keywords in H1 or H2 tells the search engine Spiders how important it is. So, tags does plays an important role in SEO.

It does help little bit but don't over do it.
Putting h tags is important when it comes to site structuring and onpage optimization. These tags should be consistent with your meta tags.
The tags should be put only once on a page.
