When you put a cd in the cdrom drive on our lap top it makes a loud noise, and the cd, audio or video, skips. Could this be because of a misaligned tray? Whatever it is, could i fix it myself?

Yes, it only does it when it's spinning, but its not a constant thing. it'll do it for a minute then stop, then do it again.
