I am planning on getting a new graphics card because mine is abit outdated right now, geforce 6200 turbo :p, anyways I know I can obviously support nvidia cards which is what I plan to get, although I'm not sure about the power supply and some other things, also maybe I could get some help on comparing graphics cards. I was thinking about either getting the Gforce 9600 GT or the Geforce 8600 GTS. I do have pci-express and my power supply box says 400w max,not sure if I would need to upgrade or not.
Oh and i also have a pentium D, not sure how much it can handle.

As long as you don't get some of the higher end graphics cards you will be fine. I would get a value card because anything really expensive will either be bottlenecked by your CPU or underpowered by your Power supply.

I have a similar problem.

I used to have a Palit gefore 7900gt/gto 512mb and the new 9800gt 512mb isn't running as good as the 7900gto.
I'm quite disapointed in the 9800gt.

Should i upgrade the motherboard to something newer or get a better video card?
In which case what should i get to either suit the MSI K9N Neo (PCB V1.0) or a better motherboard to suit the 9800gt?
