Hello,
I plugged in a PS2 mouse to my Inspiron 8000 laptop which made the system freeze but when i rebooted all I got was a white screen. No HDD activity or HDD light. More or less dead other than a white {off white} screen. There have been no problems previously.
I guess something has been damaged at an early stage of the power train.
Any ideas for a repair? New MB not really effective.

Hi, Just as normal, full shut down and then restart by pressing the power button, but within 5 seconds or so the screen lights up all white with no disk activity at all. No keys respond, just the power light is on.
