Re: > > Try using Tor, it is a special onion network technology, which keeps users anonymous. The traffic you generate is bounced by different nodes in the network before reaching the server that you are accessing, so it might take a bit longer for things to load but it gives …
Re: I had a ssd that corrupted (the data is supposedly still on there, the controller corupted) so I thought perhaps I might try to rescue the data with live CD. The live CD would not boot with the bad drive attached to the computer and gave a number of different …
Re: This: if( (v.elementAt(i).length()) < (v.elementAt(i + 1).length()) ) is the trouble, since when you're inside the loop, i already has 1 added to it for the next time the loop runs. Since your vector holds a default of 10 values, on the last run through of your loop i + …
Hi Everyone, Recently I upgraded to an MSI FM2-A55M-E33 mainboard (computer specs are below). The computer typically enters a sleep cycle about an hour after last use. However, the last time it did this it would not power back on. I tried the following: Changed the power chord, changed what …
Re: If your particular HD 2400 came from a Dell or your computer is a Dell, then it's not possible to display a stretched desktop across two monitors (due to the configuration of the card). The best you can do is get a splitter, but that will display the same desktop …
Re: Since your computer detects the keyboard and installs drivers for it I don't think its a hardware issue. Reinstalling/ updating your usb and chipset drivers sounds like a pretty good idea to me. It may even have something to do with the original keyboard drivers but I'm just wildy speculating …
Re: Setting your array size to 4 should solve your problems :) Hobbits []h = new Hobbits[4];
Re: As far as I can see, your driver is asking for doubles and your main class is sending ints. So thats never going to work. You need to have public Clown( String n, double s, int h, int y ) in your Clown class to match your current imput (and …
Re: First of all, where was the laptop hot? Was there and sort of ozoney smell?
Re: I'm really surprised to hear that PSU's of such low wattage are even built still. Upgrade it for sure even if thats not the root of your problem, which it probably is.
Re: I would imagine that the motherboards on all of your guys laptops have just worn out.
Re: How old is your computer? Some older computers use an analog audio cable for the disk drives and I've noticed it will sometimes cause problems if not installed (this is only on IDE drives). If its a SATA, make sure you have it set up correctly in the BIOS.
Re: Complete freeze? How did you make it reboot?
Re: If the BIOS is detecting the drive as pampier said, the cable should be fine. I would think that the drives master boot record has been corrupted if the install cd will not detect it. It may need to be run over with a magnet. (Don't run a magnet over …
Re: This is a laptop or desktop? And what model/make is it?
Re: If you're not 101% sure get the wiring diagram for your motherboard.
Re: It may not be a draw problem, just a weak PSU. What is the wattage?
Re: It really depends on what you need the computer for with the CPU. It looks like the socket on your Motherboard is AM2+ so you might look into an Althlon 64 x2 CPU, but the one your computer has right now is probably good enough. If you do end up …
Re: I recently had the same problem with a gateway laptop, it would turn on but not boot but then crash and would boot up. What turned out to be the problem was the pins on the HDD adapter were bent slightly and so the HDD was not connecting all the …
Re: Have you tried leaving it alone for a while when it reaches the black screen? It could just be booting very slowly (for whatever reason).
Re: The only thing I can think of is the CPU may be over heating. It freezes trying to boot the OS as well?
Re: Or an adapter? If you are so determined to use the keyboard you have.
Re: It could even be something simple like the power connector for the cpu being unconnected.
Re: If no other way works, put the drive in another computer and delete it that way.
Re: laptop motherboards are tricky things 'cause everything that the laptop uses is on the board. Have you taken it out yet? Look for cracks/weakness in the board, check for fried capacitors and resistors, test the cpu... pretty much start at the simplest thing you could think of being wrong with …
Re: That most likely is the issue. Do what dogbreath077 said, and if that is not the problem, you may discover what is wrong when you take the panel off.
Re: Thats the first thing you do is check all the cables. And check for dust in cable connections.
Re: The clicking sound is your hdd trying to find the boot record. It usually means that your hdd bombed and is unrecoverable. sorry
Re: I agree with josmcc, your cpu may not be able to take that high of an overclocking level, or your gpu may be the problem. Do you get the BSoD? and if so, what is the error message and how long does it take to dump the physical memory?
Re: You might try putting the hdd and cd drive on the same cable (assuming that they are both IDE) putting the hdd as master and cd drive as slave or vice-versa. Usually when a hdd is dead you can hear a rhythmic clicking sound coming from the drive. (sounds a …
Re: Your computer sounds well balanced, but maybe your fan is not powerful enough for your processor? You may have damaged the cpu from so much overheating.
Re: To my knowledge, the computer only draws as much power as it needs from the psu (90 watts for example)and if two or more are present the load is equally dispersed. The psu hardly ever outputs the full load they are rated for. Most of the documentation I have come …
Re: when a power surge hits a computer, most of the small, delicate circuits become fried. Your cpu is most likely gone, and maybe your motherboard. Use a surge protector if you can, and make sure to get one with phone line protection as surges can come trough the phone line. …
Re: Just for clarification, your sons games are there on the hard drive, and then they are erased? And also, your specialist did or did not replace the drive.
Re: I have a couple, but first, does it crash or actually go through the shut down process?
Re: There should also be a setting where you can mark a program so it is allowed to bring the system out of sleep. most dvd players do this automatically.
Re: Hmmm... It probably has nothing to do with your RAM. Do you have the analog CD audio cable connected? I know its never used anymore, but sometimes the computer is forced to use it because the digital doesn't work.
Re: I had this problem a few years ago when I had a GeForce 7600. It turned out to be a bad capacitor. Check the video card, then the IDE cable to your hard drive, and then your cpu if you still haven't found the problem.
Re: Try this one: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4415429&CatId=3669
Re: Try taking out he HDD and making sure the adapter is really well connected to both mobo and HDD. I'm starting to wonder if this is a flaw in gateway architecture.
Re: What kind of connection do you have? Your browser cache might be full of info from some other web page and so you have no stored data from ebay. Also, what browser are you using?
Re: If the wiring labels on the case are different than the motherboard you will have to pull the wires out of their connectors and reset them so they are right. Sometimes the computer will turn on if one wire for the power button is on a power button connector and …
Re: Could it even be something as simple as the power button board being broken?
Re: I noticed when you listed your components off you did not mention a cd drive or floppy. Does this mean you don't have one? One of your drives could possibly be causing the problem.
Re: That kind of thing usually has nothing to do with your video drivers. What is happening is the back light is not receiving power all the time. Just replace the inverter board (inside the monitor) and it should work fine. : )
Re: I would suspect the CPU before the motherboard. Especially since it powers up. Have you tested it?
Re: You said in the video that the POST says 'fixed disk 0' That makes it sound like you might have a bad sector on your hdd. Have you tried booting it with a different drive?
Re: Something might be faulty on the motherboard or psu or misaligned (such as the cpu or ram). BTW, what is the power rating of the psu?
Re: I agree whole-heartedly with suspishio. Even more so if you smelled any ozoney smell after the pop. |
The End.
