Hello,
Im not very tech savy but have a good understanding. please help a newbie.
I have two local hard drives in my computer....... C drive and D drive.
THE C DRIVE HAS WINDOWS XP INSTALLED ON IT WHILE THE D DRIVE HAS NOTHING INSTALLED.

The c drive is the main drive and only has 15 gig of free space.
the d drive is the secondary drive and has 96 gig of free space.

please tell me how i can swap these two drives so that i can utilize the drive space on d drive.

thanks ,

What size is the C drive?
You don't need to swap the drives at all.
I'd start by moving the My Docs folder, which is likely to need the most space:

You could also install new programs to D instead of C, or uninstall existing programs on C and reinstall them on D.
If you really want to do this, the easiest way is to use a drive imaging program like Acronis.

hi joey, when you installed program make the installation path to D drive, so you can utilize it

you can use a program called partition magic and move space from the D drive to the C drive. you would use the option to resize partition
