DVD recording question

I have a problem, need a know-how on ishue which DVD files must I download on abc torrent so I could burn some movies in DVD format. My brother has a Panasonic SC-HT500 DVD (home cinema) player, I won't to burn some movies for him, but I just don't know how ...

In operating instructions I can see, that player cannot read discs sutch as:
-DVD-ROM
-CD-ROM
-CDV
-CD-G, + RW
-DVD-RW
-CVD
-SVCD
-SACD
-Dvix Video Discs and Photo CD

...and can read discs sutch AS:

DISC TYPE LOGO INDIC. USED IN INSTRUCTIONS

DVD-RAM DVD (RAM,RAM 4.7) RAM
DVD-Audio DVD AUDIO DVD-A
DVD-Video DVD VIDEO DVD-V
DVD-R DVD (R,R 4,7) DVD-V

comp.disc (dig.audio + text) CD (incl. CD text)
CD-R/RW / WMA / MP3

And I wan't to know how can I upload subtitles within - if it is posssible.

Please help me. And also add some cool links where could i find some appropriate files. I wanted to burn SHARK TAIL fot his two doughters.
