I get this error message once I start using my explorer and it forces me to close the program. It has happened very frequently and I am not sure how to get this fixed. :(

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type sfc /scannow, and then click OK. Note that is a space between sfc and /. You'll need your XP CD handy in case it asks you to insert it to replace a corrupt file. Only do this if your XP disc is a full/upgrade version, not a 'restore' disc that some computer manufacturers supply.
