go to windows updates! and Update to windows media player 10 ,if you haven't all ready it will play dvds if you have a dvd player installed on you computer

Does dell give you a program called "PowerDVD?" Maby they did to me because I have a DVD-Burner and a DVD+Burner? Any ways in the program it gives you a decoder...

I believe the d600 comes with the Intervideo DVD software, if you do not have you can purchase it pretty cheap, or ask around to your friends if they have a copy of it or PowerDVD.
