For some reason or other my system sounds and sounds on speakers/headphones disappears. A day or two later all sounds are back. Every time I check everything and it's OK, all the settings remain unaltered when I lose the sound and when it returns.

I haven't been able to pinpoint when sound loss starts or when it comes back. No sound this morning - shut down my computer. This evening turned on my computer and sounds are back!!

My OS is Win XP Pro SP2. Firefox Browser V.3.0.6.

check for any loose connection on your pc speakers...

I have tried absolutely everything. Today, the sound is back and no problem. All my connections are OK
