hi! i'm new. I don't know that much about software and hardware, or what makes computers buzz, so i'll be asking alot of questions. my first one is that i have some burned dvd's from a friend i'd like to burn to my computer to get them back to him. i can't figure out how to do it though. I'm running windows vista if that helps.

Jump to PostAssuming there is no protection on the DVD you could just right click on the icon and copy the folders and files to hard disk.
Or you could create an image of the disk using something like imgburn.

cool, i'll try it. the cds came to me on personal dvd's not originals, so don't think there's a protection on them. i'll try both suggestions.
