I have Windows XP, I downloaded a free update from Microsoft, now I can't find my Control Panel. I can't adjust Screen Savers, and such. Where can I find the Control Panel items with this new MS Update? I don't know the identification of the update.

Practically a Master Poster
Try this first;
Right click Start - go properties
Start menu tab - customize
Advanced tab - Start menu items
select under control panel "display as link" or "display as menu".
If this doesn't work do the system restore.
