Latest version of WMP is very slow on my computer. Whenever I play an audio file, the audio is fine, but all the visuals and graphics freeze (audio continues to play). My mouse is useless until the page unfreezes. So it could freeze at 10 seconds and then jump to 1 min., 20 sec. Again, audio plays without interruption or skipping; it's the timeline at the bottom of the screen that hesitates.

My computer as a whole is slow. I only have 256 mb of RAM and have been told it's time to add more. Could this be the reason for the WMP sluggishness?

wmp11 is over bloated garbage..... It is a big resource hog!

If you can possibly downgrade to 10 or even 9,it might be very good....
