hi.... i often get problem with my pc.......... specifically in my window xp os sp2.......

sometimes, when i try to shut down my pc, the standby option which come along with turn off and restart, is hidden to me... ( standby option is not displayed)...

and many a times i am being displayed by a msg which tells that some system files are missing, with .dll extension......

for these problems i often reinstall my os...... but the problem doesnt seeem to end.. after a week or so i get back these problems.........

plz help me protect my computer from such threats....

Virus or trojan, I suspect.
See the Spyware forum, get the diagnostic tool suggested there and post a report in that forum.
