I hope someone would be able to help me with my problem.
I have a Netgear DG834GT Router. I need to connect to an FTP server and also use the Remote Desktop facility to access the server from my PC. My PC is behind the netgear router.
The server is behind a DLink.
All the other users with other routers/modems can access everything perfectly well.
However me ... I setup the firewall rules to enable the Port21 and any passive port needed by the server... my PC will be able to access the server for about 1hr. After that hour, I lost my connectivity. Remote desktop does not work, FTP client does not work as well. I did a firmware upgrade on the router. Everything worked again, but for an hour. After that ... everything was blocked. However these services are still allowed in the firewall menu.
I cannot understand what is happening... I think it is a major fault with my model ... or something else.
Anyone experienced the same or similar problem.?
