Take it to your local PC store and ask them for help! This sort of problem requires the hands on approach. Also did you knowingly have a virus on the machine? problems may lie there. Also check inside the machine that all of the power cables are properly connect in ~ loose connectors = shut down.
mmm, are you sure the mouse is Vista compatible? If not that is why you are having the jitteredness. Also check to see that the mouse as a full battery, and that the adapter connected into the PC has a gd connection, and isn't hanging out.
For Halo 2, check that you are running the latest patch, and check that your gfx card has the latest drivers installed.

I doubt EA will release generals for a console, seeing as they have put C&C3 on Xbox360, but C&C just does not suit a console. PC only game in my view, unless you have a keyboard & mouse attachment or summit.

Rather liberal uses of "no one" and "all" there don't you think? Some of us "smoking fools" do actually consider those around us and make every effort to keep our smoke away from non-smokers. Keep that in mind before you make ignorant blanket statements about "all smokers". Some of us do actually afford others common courtesy (not curtsy) - even those who most likely do not deserve it.
Well i can't spell first off :P And most smokers are genuine nice people like yourself, who do care for others around them, but a proportion of smokers are just plane idiots who don't give a care in the world, and when they puff the smoke out, it goes right into your face. It's those sort of people that i just want to punch in the face quite honestly! And i'm not violent!
Well it is just general curtsy to stub it out while eating, what about asthmatics? No one thinks of the suffering they have to go thorough near smokers. I don't think prisons should have the "get out of jail quickly because you kept your head down" rule. I believe it is daft to be honest. A criminal should see the whole sentence, not just appeal within a year and get out in 5 years instead of the 10 years given. The judge gives a sentence to punish, not to just slap them on the wrist, bang them up for a year or 2 then let them out after a couple of months. Ridiculous.
Same with GT4, we players have to come into for a pit stop otherwise the tyres go red and you loose loads of grip, and you spin around :) Takes gr8 skill to bring it back :) I have ample of that :P
You must change it for file folder, because file folders relate to folders with contents (whether it be music, documents, other folders) folders on it's own relates to empty folders with nothing in them.
OR If you don't have the virus, go into Control Panel => Folder Options => File Types tab => click on the option which says 'File Folder' => Advanced button => click 'New' => then name it 'open' and make the program 'explorer.exe' That should solve the problem.
Ah so you want to connect to the internet. Well you will need to setup a LAN between your desktop and laptop, (through a wireless router), then connect this to your modem which you have. Sometime you can buy wireless routers with modems already built in. if you want your desktop to be wireless, you need to get one of those wireless sticks (they look like memory sticks), and connect that up.
Try a program called Roxio Easy Media 7. It is the version that i am currently using. There may be a more up-to-date version. It's a very nice little program with lots of different features, including a DVD builder.

Now you want a wireless connection between your Desktop and your laptop. Through this sub-LAN are the computers going to be connecting to the internet? If No, then you can just set up a the wifi router with the correct wifi expansion cards, and use the windows walk-through guides. If Yes, you want it to connect to the internet, you are going to have a separate sub-system like the one you have now.
Has your computer had a virus recently? And have you taken the computer apart for any reason? OR have you dropped the machine, knocked it over, that sort of thing?
