I was working for one site its PR was 0, and within 15 days there is a substantial increase in the “Page Rank Value” (PR) of website from 0 to 2. How can i view my previous page rank for my site. I want to know if there is any tool through which i can view my previous page rank value position of my site? Please reply sooooon...

For : years later the cleanest path is not to hunt an exact historic toolbar number but to reconstruct what changed and preserve a record going forward. The exact old toolbar PR is seldom recoverable unless somebody saved screenshots or periodic exports. The practical steps below show how to build a usable timeline and avoid losing history again.

  • Recreate the timeline: export server logs, Google Analytics (or host analytics) and any old CSV reports. Look for date ranges with traffic or referrer spikes that line up with the PR change.
  • Map link acquisitions: run historical backlink reports in tools like Ahrefs, Moz or Majestic to see which referring domains appeared right before the jump. Those timelines are the best direct evidence of increased link authority.
  • Check content and distribution: use the Wayback Machine for page snapshots and search for press releases, forum posts or directory listings that might have driven links.
  • Capture and automate going forward: schedule weekly exports of key metrics (organic sessions, landing pages, ranking positions, referring domains). Use APIs or a simple cron job to append CSVs to a dated folder or Google Sheet so the next time you have a surprise you have a built-in record.

This approach gives actionable insight into why authority changed and how to repeat it. For , automating the workbook prevents abandonment; for and , the emphasis is on measurable signals (traffic, links, rankings) rather than a single historic toolbar number.

I don't know of any tools that save the old PR toolbar value in their database. However, I seriously would not spend much time thinking about it ... Google's toolbar PR value is massively overrated and very inaccurate ........ by design. Google spits out the wrong info on purpose.

yeah, i wouldn't worry about the old PR, I would just keep working to increase your PR to 3 now.

Some time ago, I actually created manually an excel sheet to monitor keyword results and pagerank of several sites. After a few weeks, I abandoned the project. Why? These numbers dont really push the bottom line.
