I am running a lab machine on an open school network.
I am directly connected into it via ethernet.
I am using hamachi to connect to the machine remotely from home securely. (In case you don't know it creates a VPN that looks identical to another local network in the connection settings)
I am running windows file sharing and I've locked it down well. I am worried about exploits and worms on the school network (I have a password but it won't count for much) so I only want to allow file and printer sharing from (1) network, my hamachi one.
How can I restrict services to certain network devices?
I saw scope under the advanced file and printer sharing in the firewall settings. Can I specify a range of ip addresses? I'd rather not use this method.
