HELP NEEDED!....whenever i turn on my computer the desktop icons dont appear on the desktop..yet a page will pop up and give me different options to click on...why dont my desktop icons appear on the desktop page? i would appreciate any advice..

Could you answer the following please
1. Is the start bar still there?
2. What is on the page that pops up?
3. What Operating system do you have, include version and service pack?
4. If you right click on the background does a menu appear?
if the answer to question 4 is yes, make sure that under the sub menu "Arrange desktop icons by", there is a tick next to show desktop icons. If not, select it, to tick it.
5. Have you got a recycle bin?
