Hi,

In one of my friends system...when we boot...a screen appears with message

We are sorry for the inconvenience.. windows was not shut properly..

this is because there has been a software or hardware change..

....Last known configuration..

Safe mode
Safe mode with comand prompt
Safe mode with networking

Boot normally

Safe mode booting gets stuck after a minute same is the case with Boot normally

How to get the system back on track..

have you let it sit there and see if scan disk runs?

Sounds like you are using Fat32 instead of NTFS it will do that with Fat32 if the system is shut down with the power button.

Thanks for the post...

I got it rectified ..the problem was with the cmos batttery ...replaced it and system working fine...
