I have a client who has a pc that she had purchased at a garage sale a year ago and it has a :twisted:pirated OS WinXP Pro. Since this copy does everything a legal copy does, is it possible to just purchase a product key from a certified microsoft retailer or should go ad get a full version and reload it?

Any advice would help greatly!!

if it's a pirated OS that keeps working, it is probably a VLK version. purchasing one of those is pretty expensive.
you should buy a simple OEM and reinstall it.
or move to LINUX! yey ;)
