Or we could just leave it as is. The vast majority of bad posts are only reported once and dealt with before anyone else reports it. Of those that do get multiple reports we are only talking about 2 or 3 at the most, and they are threaded in the reported post forum so it really is no big deal IMHO.

Please look at this again, think about what it is you want to ask us, and then try again with enough detail so that this question can be moved to an appropriate forum where someone might answer it.

PLEASE: Read the rules here before posting a 'sick' joke as you might find getting an infraction and a possible ban not to be very funny at all.

As far as I am aware there have been no problems with Digest mailings, another is due to go out today so maybe anyone who has not got this tomorrow could post here and let us know?

While we would love people to post on DaniWeb, people are quite welcome to participate by reading and learning as well. This community is about sharing knowledge, we do not exclude lurkers. Participation does not have to be vocal, people with zero posts contribute by becoming better coders and hopefully coming back and saying something when they have something to say.

That is exactly why we do not delete old posts, they form part of the 'interactive knowledge resource' at the heart of this great community.

The user has an official warning, old posts that were felt to add nothing except a signature were removed, any further such postings following the warning will be dealt with as spam and infracted, two infractions will kick off a ban.

Banning the user when they had been allowed to post those messages without intervention over a period of time, and without a warning, would not be fair.

If we did not give a damn then we would not be looking at individual cases of signature abuse - and we would not have deleted some 100+ posts by Jen0608.

This is something that DaniWeb management has been discussing of late, however there are no plans to ban signature links.

If a post breaks the rules it will be dealt with.

If a poster is thought to be bending the rules relentlessly in order to advertise in the way being suggested, then it will be looked at on a case-by-case basis.
