Nice kraai. Well you said that you can access the internet when not using a router, are you using a laptop. Is your cable connected properly, did you change any router settings, reset it to default and see whether it can allow you access the internet

CAn you conneced to the internet and what is the network stength. Al wireless can't connect to the wireless network or is it only your laptop. If it is only your laptop see if you have your wireless card properly installed

Is there any problem with your first hard drive. Sometimes flash drive or hard drive will not show up in my computer for apparent reason. Have you try go into a word document or other application and go to file. Click on save as choose a name and the location. For the location did you see your hard drive there, if not refresh it. Your disk may not spin maybe you accidentally drop the hard drive on the floor. The hard drive will crash. Please specifiy your problmes. What do you use your hard drive for?

I agreed with LABC, cache is the data stored by your webbrowser, so when you visit a page it will load faster.
