My monitor display color turns green intermittently. The screen resolution is good however the display looks as if a green screen is used. Due to this, the colors are not visible properly. What could be the problem? I tried with a different monitor and the display is good.

Just installed a new secondhand computer with xp installed. Started working fine but could not change display settings to over 760 x9something.
