I recently got a mess of stuff happening with my laptop's hard drive so I removed it and put in into a USB enclosure so I could access my data. My laptop did use a windows password which I obviously know but while hooked up USB, I can not access it. Does anyone know how I can disable that password so that I can get my information from "My Documents" ?

I think you need to change boot order and put USB device 1st; you'll have to access BIOS for this.

has nothing to do with boot order ,they can access the files just don't have ownership because of password when the hdd was in the laptop .
