Hi please excuse my ignorance but can I download Spotify to an iPod nano and then use tracks in a vehicle via Bluetooth ?

LisaBrown commented: Well, is there any final solution to solve this problem? Now I am still using AudFree to download Spotify songs to MP3. I know it is not 100% legal. +0

Short answer: not directly — the iPod nano line isn’t an “app” device, so Spotify’s streaming catalog can’t run on it the way it does on phones or an iPod touch. That matches ’s observation; ’s comment explains why the thread lost replies. See Spotify’s supported‑devices guidance and the community thread on syncing to a nano for the official position. Model and Bluetooth notes: only the 7th‑generation iPod nano (the 2012/2015 model A1446) includes Bluetooth 4.0, so that model can pair with a Bluetooth A2DP car stereo and play music stored on the device; earlier nanos do not have Bluetooth. Confirm the exact model before buying adapters or expecting wireless pairing. iPod nano (7th generation) — Technical Specifications · Identify your iPod model. (support.apple.com)

Practical ways to get Spotify music into a vehicle (legal, reliable): run Spotify on a smartphone and pair the phone to the car; use an iPod touch that can install the Spotify iOS app (check Spotify’s system requirements); or buy DRM‑free tracks from the iTunes Store and sync them to the nano with iTunes/Finder for offline playback. Caution: Spotify’s offline/downloaded catalogue is managed and encrypted for use only inside Spotify’s apps; converter tools that try to extract or remove that DRM are unreliable and can violate Spotify’s Terms and potentially local copyright law. Wow this has been here for 11 months with no response?

If you haven't found an answer yet - no it's not possible to download/install Spotify on iPod nano as there is no app for it.

@dragon, it turned out they were spamming some app so replies vanished.
