I had a system32/drivers/ntsf error and found the way to fix it from microsofts site. But when I go into the recovery console. it wont allow me to enter the commands I received from microsoft. I ran a chkdsk and it says it's unrecoverable. I am really limited as to what it will let me do. Any suggestions???

Did you try installing what you need using Safe Mode?

It wont even boot into safe mode I think I just need a new hard drive

you dont need a new HDD. There is nothing physcially wrong with the HDD, you just need to fresh reinstall windows XP

Yeah tried that. It wont even read the disk. it just keeps ejecting it after about 11% download. I tried it about 10 times.

did you fix the bad sectors when you repartitioned?

when you reinstall windows and you format the drive there should be an ioption which asks for "quick format" or "full format" (full format checks for bad sectors and may help your problem)
